About

Ladylike Libations….sort of. My preference when it comes to spirits is for the most part far from ladylike and more similar to that of a 70-year-old man. I love a good extra dirty martini or a classic rye Manhattan with a cherry to boot. I love the feel of a cocktail; from the delicate frame of a coupe to the grounded weight of a rocks glass. There is a level of creativity that goes into mixing the perfect cocktail; finding the right ingredients down to the seemingly small details of garnish and presentation. Crafting a noteworthy drink is like a rediscovered medium of expression.

Now don’t get me wrong, I love drinking cocktails too, not just looking at them, but it takes time to find your style of drink: what you gravitate towards, what you are willing to try, and what really hits the spot. It’s here where I will share my exploits into the cocktail underworld, both in my own kitchen and at the bar counters of many local eateries in Seattle and surrounding gems.

A cocktail is a single serving work of art; and I love them because of that.
